What makes Superior so unique is its geographic location. Situated along the "division line" of Arizona's three geophysical features, you can travel less than fifteen miles to the west of Superior and find yourself in the Arizona-Sonoran desert. Travel fifteen miles south and dive into the mineral-rich valleys and plateaus of Central Arizona. Go fifteen miles east and immerse yourself in the gateway to Arizona's majestic mountain ranges, complete with waterfalls and snow in the winter.

COMMUNITY WORKING GROUP
Community Working Group Meeting Scheduled for August 13 in Superior
July 24, 2014 – Superior, Arizona
A meeting of the Town of Superior Community Working Group (CWG) is scheduled for Wednesday August 13. The CWG - made up of Town of Superior, Queen Valley, and area residents and stakeholders - meets regularly to examine the technical facts and discuss social and economic issues surrounding the proposed Resolution Copper Mining Project.
Topics typically include environmental health and safety, natural resource issues, engineering, water quantity and quality, geology, economics, air quality, community investments and other relevant subjects of community concern. It’s expected that at the August meeting the group will continue its discussion of priorities and management of community investments.
CWG meetings are held at the Superior Chamber of Commerce offices at 165 West Main in Superior beginning at 6:00pm. CWG meetings are open to the public and time is reserved on the agenda for public comment and questions.
